Tenure Track: Assistent Professor Magnetic Resonance Applied to (Food) Soft Matter

Wageningen University & Research

In a challenging career trajectory you are, as Assistant Professor in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance applied to (food) soft matter, responsible for setting up a new research team comprising PhD students, technicians and post-docs. Soft matter properties of foods will be studied under dynamic conditions by means of nuclear magnetic resonance techniques, both in spectroscopic and imaging mode. With your research you will build a leading international position in which you will contribute to: (i) Development of advanced nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and imaging (MRI) methods, including, but not limited to, pulsed-field gradient NMR diffusometry, (rheo)MRI, multi-dimensional relaxometry/diffusometry and high-resolution magic angle spinning (HRMAS) spectroscopy; (ii) Building understanding of (food) soft matter physics; (iii) collaborating with research groups aiming at structure-driven design of food formulations and processing routes.

From the position of Assistant Professor, candidates can grow into a Professor holding a personal chair in a maximum period of twelve years.

Assistant or Associate Professor in Developmental Psychopathology

The Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) and the School of Pedagogical Sciences (PWO) of Radboud University are jointly looking for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Developmental Psychopathology, preferably with research expertise in anxiety and/or depression in children and adolescents, but other areas will also be considered. Candidates with a particular interest in working with a multidisciplinary team of graduate students, faculty, programmers and designers on projects aimed at designing and evaluating innovative technology-based mental health interventions (e.g. applied games and interactive social apps) are encouraged to apply. You will be teaching in the fields of developmental psychopathology, developmental psychology and pedagogical science, and will supervise Master’s students and PhD candidates. You will have a combined (50%) teaching and (50%) research position. You will be expected to regularly apply for, and obtain, external grant-based funding.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates who demonstrate excellent research and teaching abilities and willingness to collaborate with colleagues and PhD students of the faculty. All applicants should have completed their PhD or be close to completion, and may be specialized in the field of Change Management, or Information Systems, or a combination. 

On the basis of a positive final evaluation in the sixth year of employment, the candidate will be granted tenure and promotion to Associate Professor. The Tenure Track path can be rounded off with promotion to Full Professor, under the condition that criteria are met.
