Svetlana Khapova appointed Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom chair of Careers and Organization Studies (Dec. 2013)
FDL ChairVU University Amsterdam has launched the Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom (FDL) chair programme in order to promote female scientific talent on its way to the top and to address the lack of female full professors.
The naming of this specific FDL chair reflects Khapova's research focus on Careers and Organization Studies. Her research concerns careers and  career investments of contemporary employees. She is especially  interested in the link between individual careers and organizational  growth and innovation. 
 At the same time Svetlana is the scientific director of the Amsterdam Business Research Institute (ABRI). She is one of the leading founders of the institute. ABRI  caters for research and graduate education in business and organization,  and is a collaboration of three faculties of two universities (Faculty  of Economics and Business Administration and Faculty of Social Sciences  of VU University Amsterdam, and Faculty of Economics and Business of the  University of Amsterdam).
Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom
Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom (1913-2004) studied Law at VU University and obtained a PhD in 1937.  During WWII she defended people who were arrested for their resistance  work, together with her husband. Fenna Diemer-Lindeboom studied the  bible on the position of women in society and published several books  about the relation between men and women. Mostly she is known for her  fight for passive women voting rights in her party, the  Anti-Revolutionaire Partij (ARP).
